Janel Wright has been with Alaska’ Workers’ Compensation Division since 2004. Initially, she served as a Hearing Officer and was appointed as the Chief of Adjudications in 2008; she served until 2015. She returned to being Hearing Officer and in 2023 was again appointed as Chief of Adjudications. Prior to immersing herself in workers’ compensation law, she was a civil rights attorney and Legal Director for Alaska’s Disability Law Center.
