Exclusively representing injured workers since 1977, in addition to being inducted into the College of Worker’s Compensation Lawyers in 2010 and earning the highest rating from Martindale Hubbell, Joel Alpert is: A former Chairperson of the State Bar of the Michigan Workers’ Compensation Law Section; A former Chairperson of the Michigan Association for Justice, Workers’ Compensation Committee; A member of both the Board of Directors of the Workplace Litigation Injury Group and the Board of Directors of the Michigan Association for Justice; and is an editor of the Worker’s Compensation chapter of the ICLE publication Attorney Fee Agreements in Michigan. He has been invited to lecture in numerous states on various workers’ compensation issues. He has engaged in over 300 trials and hearings, and has argued cases before the Michigan Supreme Court, Michigan Court of Appeals, US District Court, and Michigan Circuit and District Courts. Further serving the legal profession, he is a former Circuit Court case evaluator.
